Almond Cake Recipe

  • 8.8 ounces (250 grams) raw sugar
  • 8.8 ounces (250 grams) butter
  • 4 tablespoons tepid milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 dessert spoon powdered milk
  • 8.8 ounces (250 grams) flour
  • 2.11 ounces (60 grams) ground almond
  • 1 teacup egg strings
  • 1 teacup egg yolks cream
  • Butter and flour to grease and powder the mould
  • Chocolate shaves
  • Almonds and powdered sugar to your taste

How to make Almond cake

  • Start by turning the oven on at 350 ºF (180 ºC), as well as greasing a nest shaped mould and powdering it with flour.
  • Then, mix the butter with the raw sugar and add the egg yolks one at a time. Once this is done, add the milk and flour mixed with yeast.
  • Meanwhile, whip the egg whites stiff and add them to the previous mix. Add the ground almond as well and each ingredient alternately. Pour the dough in the mould and place it in the pre-heated oven for about 40 minutes.
  • After unmoulding the cake, wait until it cools and then spread egg yolks cream on it. Use the egg strings, the chocolate shaves and the powdered sugar to decorate.
