Almonds with Caramel and Cream Recipe

  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 decilitre cream
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) peeled almonds
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) sugar
  • Oil to grease

How to make Almonds with Caramel and Cream

  • Start by putting the sugar in a frying pan and then dash it with water. Place the frying pan on low heat and cook the sugar until it turns into caramel.
  • Once you have the caramel, gradually add the cream to the frying pan and stir the mix continuously with a wooden spoon. Add the almonds and don’t stop stirring.
  • Boil the mix for a moment and then remove it from heat. Using a fork, remove small amounts of caramelized almonds and place them in a big plate greased with a little oil. Then, wait until the almonds cool and they’re ready to be served. They are delicious!

Fun fact: Almonds are usually considered to be an indispensable ingredient in cakes, confectionary and pies and are also an energetic food with vitamin E, Folic Acid and arginine – an amino acid which helps to control blood pressure.
