Chicken was one of the healthiest meats you can eat.

Ingredients:

  • 14.1 ounces (400 grams) chopped chicken steaks
  • 17.6 ounces (500 grams) green lasagne leaves
  • 0.7 ounces (20 grams) grated cheese
  • 1.4 ounces (40 grams) butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teacup peeled tomato
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt, pepper and oil to your taste

Ingredients for the white sauce

  • 1.05 ounces (30 grams) butter
  • 1.4 ounces (40 grams) wheat flour
  • Salt, pepper and nutmeg to your taste
  • 5 decilitres milk

Start by putting butter, garlic and chopped onion on the bottom of a pan, then place it on heat until the onion and garlic turn slightly golden. Add the chopped meat and stir continuously so that it doesn’t stick.

Now, add the peeled tomato and the oregano and season the mix with salt and pepper. Boil the mix for 5 minutes in low heat.

For the white sauce, place a pan on heat with butter and heat it. Then, add the flour. Mix very well and add the milk slowly. Don’t stop stirring until the milk boils.

Once it does, remove the pan from heat and season the mix with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Now that the white sauce is ready, it’s time to cook the lasagna leaves. Place one at a time in boiling water seasoned with salt and a little oil.

Boil each leave for just 1 minute. When they’re ready, remove them with skimmer and then move them to a recipient with cold water. Do it for every leaf.

Spread a portion of the meat mix on the bottom of a baking tray until you cover it. Place a layer of drained lasagna leaves on top of the meat and then, on top of this layer, make another meat layer.

Lastly, make another lasagna leaves layer and then the rest of the meat. Pour white sauce on top.

Powder the lasagna with grated cheese and then place it in the oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for about 20 minutes until it turns golden.
