Chicken with Almonds Recipe

Chicken-Almonds-zrThis Chicken with Almonds recipe is not simply another way of cooking chicken breasts, this is a bit of eastern culture entering our kitchens. Eastern cuisine is known for its extraordinary flavours and for beautifully arranged dishes.

And we can’t forget that chicken meat has a lot of vitamin B which is crucial to our cells’ metabolism. Chicken meat also has less saturated fats than read meat.

Chicken meat has many health benefits and in a time of crisis we cannot forget this is a cheap meat. So, here is a special recipe which is easy to make and, like we said…cheap!


  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 6 skinless chicken breasts
  • 3.52 ounces (100 grams) toasted almonds
  • 1 onion
  • 1 decilitre ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • salt and pepper to your taste

How to make Chicken with Almonds

  • Start by cutting the chicken breasts into cubes and then season them with salt and pepper. Cut the peppers in half, remove their pomes and white skin. Cut the peppers into cubes.
  • Meanwhile, peel the onion and chop it. Put the oil in a pan and then place it on heat. When the oil is very hot, add the chicken cubes and cook. Stir every now and again until the cubes are slightly brown. Add the peppers and the onion and cook until the onion is slightly brown.
  • On the side, mix the ketchup, the soya sauce and the corn flour in a bowl. Add the almonds and stir the mix. Decorate your dish before serving.

Use white rice as a side dish.
