  • 4 decilitres water
  • 10.5 ounces (300 grams) sugar
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) chocolate bar
  • ½ vanilla pod
  • 5 decilitres firewater

How to make Chocolate Liqueur:

  • Start this famous Chocolate Liqueur recipe by placing water and sugar in a pan. Place the pan on heat until the mix reaches “pearl stage”, that is when the thread is thick and it the drops look like pearls.
  • Then, break the chocolate bar into pieces and add them to the sugar mix. Meanwhile, open the vanilla pod and add it to the mix. Wait until the mix boils and then remove it from heat. Wait until it cools.
  • Once the mix is cool, pour it in a bottle and add the firewater. The Liqueur needs to be in the bottle for 15 days to be great.
  • Don’t forget to shake the bottle lightly every day. Once the 15 days are up, your Liqueur is ready to be served.
