If you are involved in any sort of physical activity, here is a little fun fact for you: walnuts’ elements are helpful in the process of muscle recovery after exercise.

Chocolate, when it is eaten moderately, can also be beneficial for your health… the hard part is to resist!

Ingredients:

  • 7 ounces (200 grams) brown sugar
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) vegetable butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 banana
  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 8.8 ounces (250 grams) flour
  • 1 dessert spoon cinnamon
  • ½ teacup insides of walnuts

Ingredients for the frosting:

  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 5.29 ounces (150 grams) sugar
  • 5.29 ounces (150 grams) insides of walnuts
  • 2 decilitres coconut milk

How to make Choclate Walnut Cake

  • Start by turning the oven on at 350ºF (180ºC). While the oven heats, grease a mould with butter and powder it with flour (the mould should be about 8.66 inches – 22 centimetres wide). Meanwhile, mix the butter with the sugar, smash the banana and then add the honey and the powdered sugar. Mix everything very well. Then, mix the flour with the yeast and the cinnamon.
  • On the side, grind the insides of the walnuts and mix them very well with the previous mix. Once this is done, put the dough in the mould and place the mould in the oven for about 45 minutes, When the cake is cooked, remove it from the oven, unmould it while it is still tepid.
  • To make the frosting, start by heating water with sugar until it turns into caramel. Then, add the coconut milk and boil a little. While the mix is still boiling, gradually add the insides of the walnuts and mix everything carefully. Wait until the cream is cold and then use it to cover the cake.
