Cod Roasted with onions and potatoes

Cod-Roasted-onions-potatoes-zrRoasted Codfish is already plays a big part in our gastronomy and this is just one of many ways of cooking codfish. All you’ll need is codfish, onions, garlic, olive oil, salt and milk.


  • 4 soaked cod loins
  • 10 garlic cloves
  • Salt
  • 2 onions
  • Olive oil to your taste
  • Milk to your taste

How to make Roasted Codfish:

  • Start by peeling the onions, the potatoes and the garlics, then wash everything.
  • Cut the onions into half-moons and place them at the bottom of a baking pan. Spread 5 garlic bulbs, add salt and sprinkle with olive oil.
  • Then, cut the potatoes into thick circles and place them on top of the previous ingredients. Add salt and sprinkle with olive oil once again.
  • Lastly, place the cod loins on top of the potatoes and add the rest of the smashed garlic. Sprinkle the mix with olive oil yet again and a little milk (it shouldn’t be a lot so that it doesn’t spill when the mix starts boiling).
  • Place the mix in the oven until it turns golden and it’s cooked.
