Codfish is a great food for diabetics because it has no sugar and few calories. Codfish has as many proteins as a steak. This food has many healthy qualities.


  • Paprika
  • Garlic
  • 3 cuttings of codfish
  • 3 or 4 eggs
  • 17.6 ounces (500 grams) chickpeas
  • 2 decilitres olive oil
  • bread

How to make Codfish with Paprika

  • Start this wonderful recipe by placing the chickpeas in a container filled wirh water the day before you start cooking so that they bulk. You can also use canned chickpeas to save some time.
  • In the next day, when you start cooking, place a pan on heat to cook the codfish, other to cook the eggs and a pressure cooker to cook the chickpeas.
  • When the codfish cuttings are cooked, slice them.
  • Meanwhile, place the bread slices in a pyrex tray.
  • Make sure they cover the bottom and sprinkle them with the water where you cooked the chickpeas until they are all very wet.
  • Then, put a layer of chickpeas on top of the bread, then a layer of codfish, then a layer of coiled eggs cut into circles.
  • Finish with another layer of chickpeas.
  • Season the last layer of chickpeas with paprika. Add the chopped garlic.
  • Put the olive oil with three or four garlics cut in halves on a pan and then place it on heat until the garlic parches. When the olive oil starts boiling, remove the parched garlic and spread the olive oil on top of the chickpeas layer.
