Golden Whiting Fish with Tartar Sauce

Golden-Whiting-Fish-Tartar-Sauce-zrFor this recipe you can use both frozen and fresh whiting fish. This is a medium difficulty recipe, but the result is great!


  • Salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil and chopped parsley to your taste
  • Flour to powder the fish
  • 4 frozen or fresh whitings
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Frying oil

How to make Golden Whiting Fish:

  • Start by slicing the whiting fish open on the side of the gut and remove their spine but not the tail. Season it with salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, chopped parsley and leave it resting to acquire taste for about 2 hours.
  • Wrap the fish in flour and then in beaten egg and fry it in very hot oil. Turn the whiting fish every now and then so that it gets an even colour.
  • When the fish is fried, put it on absorbent paper or on a cloth.
  • You can embellish your dish by serving it with radishes, olives, tomato or parsley bunches.

Tartar sauce is a great side dish to this recipe, along with boiled potatoes, rice or even Olivier or potato salad.
