Irish Bread Pudding

Irish Bread PuddingThis is yet another original way of making a lovely pudding. This Irish Bread Pudding is a favourite.


  • 2.5 decilitres coffee
  • 1 lemon peel
  • 2.5 decilitres of milk
  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) inside of a loaf of bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 decilitres cream
  • 1 chalice of whisky
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) sugar

How to make Irish Bread Pudding:

  • Start by boiling the milk along with the coffee, the lemon zest and the crushed inside of bread. When the milk boils, remove the lemon zest and stir the rest of the mix until the bread dissolves.
  • Mix the cream with the eggs, the whisky and the sugar and add it to the previous mix. Don’t stop stirring.
  • Pour this final mix in a caramelized baking pan and place it in the oven in a water bath at 320ºF (160ºC) for 50 minutes.
  • After 50 minutes, remove the mix from the oven and wait until it cools to unmould it.
