  • 21.1 ounces (600 grams) ripe tomato
  • 1/2 chicken
  • 2.8 ounces (80 grams) butter
  • 14.1 ounces (400 grams) spaghetti
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 decilitres white wine
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Grated cheese to your taste
  • Salt and oil to your taste
  • Spice to your taste

How to make Neapolitan Chicken Gigot:

  • Start by peeling the onion and cutting it into half circles. Then, peel the garlic and chop it. Wash the tomatoes, remove their stem and cut them into thin slices. Meanwhile, place 1.41 ounces (40 grams) of butter in a baking tray.
  • Season the chicken with salt, spice and white wine and then put it in the baking tray and in the oven at 325ºF (170ºC) for about 45 minutes.
  • While the chicken is roasting, place a pan on heat with plenty of water seasoned with salt. Add a little oil and cook the spaghetti until it is al dente. Then, drain it and put it on the side.
  • Put the rest of the butter in a pan and heat it. Add the garlic and, after some time, add the onion. When these ingredients turn golden, add the tomatoes and the bay leaf. Stir the mix until the tomato dissolves and then season it with salt and spice.
  • Now, add the chicken (shredded) and stir until all the ingredients are well mixed. Lastly, add the spaghetti and heat it. Check the seasoning if you want.

We advise you to powder the dish with chopped parsley.
