Pumpkin Pie recipe

Pumpkin-Pie-recipe-zrThis Pumpkin Pie recipe is delicious! It’s ideal for 6 people, but you can use bigger amounts and serve it to more people.

This Pumpkin Pie is also a great way of using pumpkin, to make an easy and cheap recipe and it’s also a great dessert and a great addition to an afternoon tea.

For this recipe you will only need quince jelly, pastry, orange, pumpkin, eggs, cream and sugar.


  • quince jelly to brush
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) frozen pastry
  • Ingredients for the filling:
  • Orange zest and juice
  • 19.5 ounces (300 grams) cooked pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 decilitres cream
  • 3.52 ounces (100 grams) sugar

How to make Pumpkin Pie

  • Start by unfreezing the pastry at room temperature.
  • When the pastry is ready, spread it with a rolling pin on a surface that is smooth and powdered with flour. Linen a pie mould with the pastry.
  • The mould should have a removable bottom and should be 7.8 inches (20 centimetres) wide. Sting the pastry with a fork.
  • Meanwhile, to make the filling start by turning the pumpkin into mash after it’s cooked.
  • Add the orange zest and juice, the 3.52 ounces (100 grams) of sugar, the 4 eggs and the 3 decilitres of cream. Mix everything very wll with a whisk.
  • Pour this mix in the pie mould and place it in the oven at 400ºF (200Cº), for about 35 minutes. While the pie is cooking, check on it every now and then to see if it’s ready.
  • Wait until the pie is cold to unmould it. Brush its surface with the quince jelly. Make sure you heat the jelly a little.
