Rice Cake with Apples and Cinnamon

Rice CakeThis Rice Cake with Apples and Cinnamon is very original. Use it if you want to serve something different from the traditional cakes.

Ingredients:

  • 5.3 ounces (150 grams) rice
  • 2 medium sized apples
  • Flour to powder
  • Margarine to grease
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ chalice sweet Port wine
  • 5.3 ounces (150 grams) sugar
  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) raisins
  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) candied fruit
  • 1.7 ounces (50 grams) margarine
  • 0.5 litre of milk

How to make Rice Cake with Apples and Cinnamon

  • Start by boiling the rice in a lot of water season with salt for 5 minutes.
  • Then, cook the rice with the margarine and the milk. Make sure the milk boils slowly until the rice absorbs all of it.
  • Add the peeled and sliced apples, the candied fruit and the raisins. Then, add the sugar, the Port, the cinnamon and the milk and mix everything very well.
  • Lastly, add the whipped eggs and stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well mixed.
  • Grease a baking mold with margarine and powder it with flour.
  • Fill the mold with the mixture you made and put it in the oven at medium temperature for about 35 minutes.
  • After removing the cake from the oven, leave it cooling a little before unmolding.
  • Unmold the cake, put it in a plate and it’s ready to serve.
  • Brush the cake with milk or jelly to make it look better.
