Rice Salad

Rice SaladThis recipe, Rice Salad, can be a good replacement for a bowl of soup! If you want, you can use this salad as a side dish for cold meat or cold fish. It’s quick to make and very nice! Children will surely love it.

This recipe serves four people. You can change the amount of ingredients proportionally to your needs.


  • 1 1/3 cups (10.58 ounces / 300 grams) of rice
  • 1/2 cups ( 3.5 ounces / 100 grams) of peas
  • Vinegar, salt and pepper to your taste
  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of ham
  • 2 peppers or baked carrots

How to make Rice Salad:

  • First, you should cook the rice, season it with salt and don’t forget to stir it so it doesn’t stick. It should cook for about 15 minutes.
  • After it’s cooked, remove the rice from the heat and clean it with water until it loses its starch.
  • Then, slice the ham into small pieces.
  • Put the rice, the peas, the ham and the chopped carrot or peppers in a container (it can be a bowl).
  • Season it at your taste and mix the ingredients.
  • You may decorate the dish with boiled eggs.
  • The rice salad is ready to be served!
