Tuna Shepherd’s Pie

Tuna Shepherd s PieTuna Shepherd’s Pie is a much appreciated dish. It’s easy and quick to make and your kids love it as well!


  • 4 tuna cans
  • 10.5 ounces (300 grams) rice
  • 13.2 fl. oz (4 decilitres )béchamel sauce
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Butter, salt, olive oil and cherry tomatoes to your taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheese

How to make Tuna Shepherd’s Pie

  • Start by greasing a baking tray with butter.
  • Then, cook the rice for about 10 minutes in a pan with plenty of water seasoned with salt and a little olive oil.
  • When the rice is ready, take it out of the pan, drain it and put it on the side.
  • Then, mix the drained tuna with chopped parsley and half the béchamel sauce.
  • Cover the bottom of a tray with half the rice, then add a layer of the tuna mix, followed by a layer with the rest of the rice.
  • For the top layer, use the rest of the béchamel sauce and cover it with the grated cheese and, if you want, you can decorate your dish with cherry tomatoes.
  • Put it in the oven at 350ºF (180ºC) to gratin.
  • Serve it as soon as you take it out of the oven.
