Water Cake Recipe

Water CakeThis recipe is ideal as a good afternoon snack or simply as a great addition to your breakfast. You can also use it as a base for other cakes.  Try it, you will love it for sure!


  • 9.52 ounces (270 grams) sugar
  • 7 eggs
  • 9.52 ounces (270 grams) flour
  • 12 tablespoons boiling water
  • butter to grease
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • flour to powder

How to make Water Cake

  • Start by mixing the eggs and the sugar for a few minutes until you get a whitish cream.
  • Mix carefully using a whisk. Add the boiling water and the flour previously mixed with the yeast.
  • Pour the dough in a baking dish greased with butter and powdered with flour. Put the dish in the oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for about 40 minutes.
  • When the cake is ready, wait until it cools a little and then unmould it and put it in a dish. Wait until the cake is cold to slice it.
